‘Tis the season to attend Christmas parties. Which means, if you are single, yet another opportunity to try and find your soulmate, or something like that.

So, as a Christmas gift to you, here are the best pick up lines to try at these shindigs.

According to a recent survey conducted by BestCasinoSites.net and shared by the Express, there are four surefire pick up lines you can use at a Christmas party.

Coming in at the top spot with 18.6 percent of the vote was, “Aside from being sexy, what do you do for a living?”

It was chosen by 18.9 percent of the females in the survey and 18.2 percent of the males.

In second place was an old standby: “Are you from Tennessee? Because you’re the only 10 I see.”

15.1 percent of the respondents chose the classic – 16.1 percent of the men and 14.3 percent of the women.

Another Christmas party pick up line that saw favor in the survey was, “Is your name Google? Because you have everything I’ve been searching for.”

As did this one: “Do you have a map? I keep getting lost in your eyes.”

Not everyone was down with those Christmas party pick up lines, however.

One commenter wrote, “I think you would need to carry a supply of sick bags for the response.”

Another commenter, who obviously knows his stuff, wrote, “I like the line about asking someone what they do besides being sexy. I don’t do pick up lines anymore, but my best one was: ‘That dress looks so beautiful (or so lovely) on you.’ A variation: ‘That necklace or those earrings look so lovely on you.’ You can vary the article of clothing or jewelry. The line worked wonders a lot more than 18% or 19%; it worked often well over 50%.”

Another suggestion was, “If I said you had a nice body, would you hold it against me?”

So there you go.

My advice? Go up to someone you are interested in and tell them you read this article, but rather than use the pick up lines, share them with the person and joke about how you would never, ever use them. That would be a surefire conversation starter.

Good luck out there.
