Sofia Vergara is keeping it in a family with her latest TV venture. The Modern Family star is judging a family cook-off!
Sofia Vergara In The Food Business Now
The actress is celebrating a new deal she signed with Roku to host a cook-off show with her son Manolo Gonzalez Vergara. She shared the exciting news on Instagram. “So excited to announce our new cooking competition, Celebrity Family Cook-Off! Coming soon to Roku!felicidades @manologonzalezvergara en tu nuevo show.”
Vergara shared a photo of herself, her son, and a few of the show’s producers celebrating at a party for the new show and other new shows coming to Roku. Vergara also kept the photos coming as she celebrated in New York City.
In a separate post, she took a sultry selfie with the backdrop of a beautiful tall building in the background. She took the celebration to her favorite restaurant in the city. “Great times in Ny! It will be so much fun @manologonzalezvergara @therokuchannel 📺📺 and of course, I had to come and celebrate at my fave! @ililirestaurants 🤎”
Over on Manolo’s Instagram, he shared excitement for the new show” Excited to announce our new cooking competition, Celebrity Family CookOff, coming soon to the @therokuchannel. (i got a handshake!!!!!),” he joked, referring to Great British Bakeoff judge Paul Hollywood.
Hollywood was also pumped up for the new show and commented, “Great to meet you, good luck with the new series … 🤝 !!”
Sofia Vergara Has Been Busy Lately
Vergara always has a lot going on if you follow her on IG. In addition to being a full-time judge on America’s Got Talent, she is busy creating her clothing line for Walmart and eyeglasses, both prescription and fashion-forward, with Foster Grant.
“Another fun day at work📸🌞,” she posted a few days ago, showing off some new glasses designs with her assistant and niece Claudia Vergara. As Vergara likes to keep it all in the family, it makes sense that the cooking show is family oriented.
So far, we know it’s called Celebrity Family Cook-Off, but that is still a working title. Her son will host it, and she will likely executive produce. The best part is that fans may see some of their favorite celebs with their families in an intimate setting.
Sofia Vergara Is On To Something
Vergara’s show hopes to have foodie celebs who will gather family members to help them compete against another celeb family. It’s a two-round battle that will include dinner and dessert.
As a twist, each episode will have a TV show as its theme, and the winning family will get a cash prize for their chosen charity. Kalen Allen and Fariyal Abdullahi will join Manolo Gonzalez Vergara, who will act as judges.
So far, it’s a six-part series and will be added to Roku’s growing list of food shows like The Great American Baking Show, Morimoto’s Sushi Master, Martha Cooks, and Emeril Tailgates. Hopefully, Sofia gets her hands a little dirty too!
