Surviving A Brain Tumor Changed Her Perspective
Caprice’s remarkable career evolution is even more inspiring considering her personal health journey. Seven years ago, while training for the reality show The Jump, a brain scan revealed a life-threatening meningioma. She recalled the devastating moment:
“When somebody says you have a brain tumor you think, ‘Oh my God, I’m gonna die. I have two three-year-olds and I’m gonna die.’”
While the tumor was non-cancerous, it was still dangerous, leading to a complex seven-hour surgery where part of her skull had to be temporarily removed. She described the experience as life-altering:
“When I woke up there were tubes coming out of everything. I was in the intensive care unit, but it looked like the Starship Enterprise.”
