The Wonder Years Share Heart-Tugging New Track ‘Old Friends Like Lost Teeth’ - News

The Wonder Years have shared another piece of ‘The Hum Goes On Forever’, and it is quintessential as it gets.

The Wonder Years have shared a new track, set to appear on their upcoming new record, ‘The Hum Goes On Forever’, and it’s pretty much a perfect song to define what the band are all about.

It’s called ‘Old Friends Like Lost Teeth’ and is a driving and direct pop-punk anthem of the highest calibre, brimming with emotional depth and poetic sincerity.

Written about the pain and heartache of losing someone close to you, it’s a track made for tugging at your shirt and screaming from the top of your lungs.

Vocalist Dan Campbell had this to say about it:

“As much as I try not to dwell on loss, I can’t help myself from thinking about it, writing about it, singing about it. This is a song for another friend who passed too soon and about how I wish I could stop myself from opening the sutures, about how I know it’ll be painful to play live, and how powerless I am to do anything else.”

Let’s go:

‘The Hum Goes on Forever’ will be dropping on September 23 via Hopeless Records.

It will also feature ‘Low Tide’:

And ‘Wyatt’s Song (Your Name)’:
