Rocky and Ross Lynch of The Driver Era drop by to talk with Kyle Meredith about their new singles, including the just-released “Get Off My Phone.” Listen to the new episode above, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Ross — known for Austin and AllyTeen Beach, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina — discusses how “Get Off My Phone” puts a contemporary spin on the classic breakup song: “It’s about the modern dilemma that people experience,” he explains. “When someone’s no longer in their life, a lot of people have the temptation to go and see what someone’s up to on social media.”

The pair reflect on how their showbiz upbringing has influenced the sound of the new song, which arrives with a pointed pop-punk, pop-rock focus — a natural evolution. They also throw out that they might release as many as three albums this year. “The material is actually there… It is possible,” Ross says. “Rocky said [three albums] though, so if it doesn’t come to fruition, blame Rocky.”

Elsewhere, the Lynchs give a peak behind the curtain and tease upcoming projects, divulging their pre-show playlist cuts and detailing a potential documentary.
