Lollapalooza Doc Coming to Paramount+: Watch the Trailer


A new documentary telling the story of Lollapalooza will premiere on Paramount+ in May. Update: Watch the newly revealed trailer below.

Lolla: The Story of Lollapalooza is a three-part docuseries directed by Michael John Warren, tracing the festival’s 30-year run from its early days as a touring punk event to its current iteration as a massive annual bash at Chicago’s Grant Park.

In addition to Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, the docuseries will feature interviews with Flea of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine, Lars Ulrich of Metallica, Ice-T, Chance the Rapper, and more.

 

The docuseries will premiere on Paramount+ in the US and Canada beginning on May 21st, and in the UK, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria on May 22nd.

As for the next installment of Lollapalooza, it goes down August 1st-4th, 2024 in Chicago, with a lineup featuring SZA, Tyler the Creator, blink-182, The Killers, Future X Metro Boomin, Hozier, Stray Kids, Melanie Martinez, and Skrillex as headliners.
