Jimmy Butler’s emo haircut is back, this time atop his head while he dances in a new music video from pop-punk band Fall Out Boy.
The music video, for the song “So Much (For) Stardust”, sees Butler wearing a purple and bedazzled cowboy outfit as he does a rodeo-style dance alongside Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz.
Yes, it’s all as weird as it sounds, as you can see below.
“this ain’t our first rodeo. new video for So Much (For) Stardust starring Jimmy Butler aka Heat Wentz just dropped,” says the caption on Fall Out Boy’s YouTube page.
The hair, which appears to actually be Butler’s, was first seen back in October 2023 when he debuted it during Media Day prior to the start of the 2023-24 season.
This season, Butler’s fifth with the Miami Heat, the 34-year-old forward is averaging is averaging 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.7 points per game.
At the time of this writing, Butler and the Miami Heat sit fifth in the NBA’s Eastern Conference with a record of 33-25. Butler has led the Heat to two NBA Finals, most recently in 2023, when they lost to the Denver Nuggets.
As for Fall Out Boy, the song “So Much (For) Stardust” is off their album, also titled So Much (For) Stardust, which was released in March 2023.
The first single off the album was “Love from the Other Side,” which was then followed by “Heartbreak Feels So Good.”
So Much (for) Stardust is the eighth studio album by Fall Out Boy, following Mania (2018), American Beauty/American Psycho (2015), Save Rock and Roll (2013), Folie a Deux (2008), Infinity on High (2007), From Under the Cork Tree (2005), and Take This to Your Grave (2003).
Following their debut in 2003, Fall Out Boy has become one of the most popular American bands of the 21st century.
