No more gummy Krabby Patties for you. Why? Because the real thing is coming. To celebrate Spongebob Squarepants’ 25th anniversary, Nickelodeon and Paramount are bringing the Krabby Patty and other Spongebob-inspired food items to real life. They are calling it the “The Krabby Patty Kollab.” Hmm, Mr. Krabs must have finally sold the secret formula.
The Krabby Patty Kollab will span across cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Mexico City, and London.
Local restaurants participating in the Krabby Patty Kollab will start serving up their creations from Oct. 8 to Oct. 27. More information on all the cities and restaurants participating can be found on the Krabby Patty Kollab website.
Nickelodeon and Paramount partnered with Off The Menu and The MRG Group to bring the collaboration to cities worldwide. You can observe the individual restaurants for each city through different posts on Off the Menu’s Instagram.
Krabby Patties will be available nationwide at Wendy’s, the only fast-food chain in the kollaboration. Starting Oct. 8, fans can buy a Krabby Patty Kollab Burger and Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty from Wendy’s in the U.S., Guam, and Canada. However, if you are near Los Angeles, Wendy’s is hosting an immersive drive-thru experience in Panorama City on Oct. 7 and 8.
” ‘The Krabby Patty Kollab’ marks another innovative way to continue the landmark 25th anniversary celebration of SpongeBob SquarePants, bringing Bikini Bottom to the surface like never before,” said Dario Spina, CMO of Paramount Brand Studio. “Wendy’s pulse on pop culture and connection to fans makes this collaboration a perfect match for Paramount, and we’re looking forward to delivering memorable and immersive experiences through custom creative, engaging social content and recognizable influence.”
The Wendy’s Krabby Patty Kollab Burger will be a beef burger with two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and a “Krabby Kollab sauce.” The Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty will still have a vanilla Frosty base, except with a pineapple mango-flavored puree swirl.
This is just one part of a series of interactive collaborations and content to celebrate Spongebob Squarepants’ 25th anniversary. The next installment will be a one-hour special called “Kreepaway Kamp,” premiering Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.
