Streaming star xQc sought medical assistance after injuring his wrist while playing as the goalkeeper for Sidemen FC during the Sidemen Charity Match on March 8, 2025.
Toward the end of the football game, xQc made two consecutive saves but sustained the injury during the second.
While the first save left him unscathed, the second, a powerful shot from YouTube AllStars player Danny Aarons, caused visible pain as he fell to the ground clutching his wrist.
xQc updates fans on wrist injury
Later that day, xQc provided an update on his injury, sharing on X that he believed his wrist was fractured and that he would seek medical attention upon returning home. He wrote: “Pretty sure my wrist is fractured, will run X-rays when I get home.”
This marked his second time as a goalkeeper in the Sidemen Charity Match, a role he first took on during the previous event. Despite facing criticism for his earlier performance, including public remarks from IShowSpeed, xQc had much to prove this year.
One of his standout moments came at the 79th minute with two critical saves. With the game tied 8-8, YouTube AllStars forward Niko Omilana attempted a shot after KSI lost possession in Sidemen FC’s penalty area.
xQc blocked the ball with his fists, deflecting it back into play. It quickly found its way to Danny Aarons, who fired another shot toward the goal. Once again, the Canadian managed to save it, but the impact on his wrist caused immediate pain, drawing attention from teammates and defenders.
Despite the injury, he persevered and played through the remainder of the match, including the decisive penalty shootout.
However, the game ultimately ended in favor of the YouTube AllStars, thanks to stellar performances by Sketch and Speed during penalties. xQc’s efforts earned him a modest player rating overall.
In a spate of post-match drama, IShowSpeed celebrated the victory but ended up losing his $20K earrings amid the festivities.
