ELF fans have been left shocked after spotting a Christmas legend in the hit film.
The festive movie, which stars Will Ferrell has become traditional viewing during Christmas.
It sees the actor play Buddy Hobbs who was placed into care crawl into Santa’s sack when he was a toddler.
He made it all the way back to the North Pole before being raised by elves – and thinking he too was one.
Fans of the 2003 hit watched as Buddy undertakes the long journey back to New York city to find his biological father, who was played by the late James Caan.
After watching back the iconic film, fans have now spotted how head elf Ming Ming starred in another Christmas classic.
The character is played by Peter Billingsley, who also portrayed Ralphie Parker in A Christmas Story.
After realising the link, fans flooded with X, formerly Twitter, with their reactions.
One said: “I was today-years-old when I realised that Peter Billingsley (a.k.a. Ralphie from A Christmas Story) was in Elf!”
