Rumors of the singer‘s alleged death gained popularity on November 2023 – leaving loyal fans worried.

An article emerged with the title “RIP Harry Styles” online.

It read: “At about 11am ET on Wednesday (November 8,2023), our beloved singer Harry Styles passed away.

“Harry Styles was born on February 1, 1994 in Homes Chapel. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”

The false rumours were also spread on X, formerly known as Twitter, by thousands of users commenting “RIP Harry Styles”.

But the post has been proven to be fake.

Fans seemed to have also confused the former One Direction singer’s “death” for that of his famous curly hairstyle.

Pop enthusiasts were left disappointed after the star swapped his famous curls for a buzzcut.

One fan said: “RIP Harry Styles’ beautiful hair.” Another added: “You were so loved by me.”

What have Harry Styles’ fans said?

Harry‘s fans were understandably upset and confused by the rumors.

Thousands of horrified followers fell for the hoax and took to social media to share their devastation.

One fumed: “Why I thought I woke up to Harry styles is dead.”

The false information was cleared up quite quickly, much to the relief of his adoring fans.

Another user said: “RIP Harry Styles he’s not dead, just dead to me for shaving his head.”

When did the hoax start?

The hoax seems to have begun around November 10, after a few articles from fake news websites began circulating.

The rumors were debunked after Harry made public appearances on the same day the rumors began.
