ANIMATION creator JoCat shocked fans with his sudden announcement that he was quitting YouTube.
The artist is recognised for his sarcastic explanation guides to popular video games including Dungeons and Dragons, Pokémon and Final Fantasy XIV.
Who is JoCat?
JoCat is best known for his animation creations on YouTube where his platform has attracted an impressed 1.14million subscribers.
His real name is Joseph Catalanello and he was born on April 30, 1996.
Hailing from the US, the 27-year-old rose to success with his series the C**p Guide, AKA, CG.
Not much else is known about his private life.
Why is JoCat leaving YouTube?
JoCat sadly announced he was walking away from the social media platform after controversy surrounded his I Like Girls cover.
Drama shrouded the song after some fans blasted it for being offensive to women, while others found it “cringey”, according to sportskeeda.com.
Meanwhile fans saw the video as an expression of “body positivity” and were baffled by the hate.
Following the release of his version of Lizzo’s Boys in 2021, Joseph has been harassed by trolls online.

The YouTuber even claimed to receive death threats after being doxxed.
Doxxing involves personal details being released without consent that can lead to members of the public identifying where someone lives.
Joseph previously stated he had written the cover as a “fun project to animate” but after garnering 11million views it appeared most people didn’t see the funny side.
He wrote in a statement on X/Twitter: “If this is what it takes to be a content creator online, I don’t think I’m cut out for it.
“I’m going to finish up my current ongoing projects, and then I’m going to be taking an indefinite break from making content.”
While his content was subjective, many of his loyal fans were saddened by the announcement.
What videos has JoCat made?
The designer is best known for his C**p guide videos for Monster Hunter weapons.
The series uses comedy to explain different video games and stars the character JoC**p.
He also made episodes of C**p Guide on Dungeons & Dragons, with the most viewed CG amassing over seven million views.
Pokémon and Final Fantasy XIV CG animations were also incredibly popular with fans.
Joseph also created a spinoff series called Gobboventures, as well as many other smaller projects such as So I Wanna Talk About and Character Creator Critique.
