Vanna White in Workout Gear Plays Golf

Vanna White is perfecting her swing – in her golf getup. In a new social media post the Wheel of Fortune host shows off her incredible body and impressive golf skills while prepping for a big tournament. “Getting ready for the #myrtlebeachclassic Pro/Am. Thank you #surfgolfclub for a fun day! See you all on Wednesday at #thedunesclub. #pgatour #golftournament #golf,” she captioned the Instagram post. How does the star approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.

For Vanna, her approach to staying fit starts with discipline. “I’m very regimented with myself; I have to be because I have to try on sample-size dresses every two weeks and they have to fit—I’ve worn 8,000 dresses on-air so far,” she confessed to Oprah Daily.

Vanna relies on strength training to keep her muscles toned. “I also do weights, pushups and sit-ups. My son had the pull-up bar in his room so I started doing pull-ups for upper-body strength,” she told Huffington Post. “I keep 10-pound weights in my bathroom and do at least 50 reps of arm exercises every day,” she added to Oprah Daily.

Vanna also cycles. “Then I spin on my Peloton. I don’t have a favorite instructor; I actually prefer the scenic routes. I hover just above the seat and do push-ups on the handlebars as I go. Exercise also boosts my confidence when I look tired. I get on that Peloton and go to town, and then I get off feeling energized and looking flushed and dewy, she told Oprah Daily.

Sometimes Vanna gets her zen on. “I mix in a little yoga at times, but that’s sporadic,” she revealed to Huffington Post. There is a laundry list of reasons to do yoga, explains Harvard Health. “Researchers found that people who practiced yoga for at least 30 minutes once a week for at least four years, gained less weight during middle adulthood,” they said. “People who were overweight actually lost weight. Overall, those who practiced yoga had lower body mass indexes (BMIs) compared with those who did not practice yoga. Researchers attributed this to mindfulness. Mindful eating can lead to a more positive relationship with food and eating.”

“Exercise is my main outlet; it kind of releases things. Even if I can’t go running, I can just take a walk,” Vanna added to Huffington Post. “I will run a couple days a week.” If she has to work that day and she doesn’t have time for her Peloton, “I’ll do a quick couple mile run. It gives you such energy!” she says.

Other forms of self-care for Vanna? “I also love hiking, listening to soothing music, meditating. Everyone deals with stress in different ways. For me, it’s just relaxing and calming yourself down. Not thinking about bad things, just good things,” she tells Huffington Post.

Finally, Vanna golfs as can be evidenced in her recent post. A comprehensive review published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine found that golf’s health benefits are extensive, including mind, body, and even lifespan. Benefits include improved longevity, decreased risk of developing heart disease or suffering a stroke, good mental health, and improved strength and balance.
