Usher reportedly got married to his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea just hours after his halftime show at Super Bowl LVIII.
The couple has been together since 2018, and they decided to officially tie the knot just days before Valentine’s.
Here’s more on that marriage from People:
The 45-year-old Grammy-winning artist and his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, 40, tied the knot on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas, where the singer performed at Super Bowl LVIII, PEOPLE has confirmed.
The pair exchanged vows at the Terrace Gazebo, an outdoor wedding chapel that seats 30 guests. Usher’s mother Jonetta Patton was the couple’s witness, according to the marriage certificate.
After the big game, the pair stepped out together in Las Vegas, and Usher was photographed wearing a gold band on his left ring finger.
Usher opened up about that relationship with People just before his Super Bowl performance, saying, “when you find someone that you know is a great partner, of course it is an honor and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you.”

Usher married hours after Super Bowl performance
The ceremony came after receiving some criticism over his “handsiness” with co-star Alicia Keys.

While Alicia Keys’ husband, Swizz Beats didn’t take issue with the closeness during the performance, others weren’t so forgiving.
A number of viewers commented on the show.
“Swizz Beats is a better man than me. If this was my wife, I’ve got issues.”
Usher’s now-wife didn’t share that outlook, knowing that it was all part of a performance that received overwhelming praise.
Quite the night for the performer!
