CARSON Daly told his Today co-hosts to make it snappy after they interrupted his segment.
He leads the POPStart segment when he is on the show and it was pushed back because Savannah Guthrie had a special message.

On Friday, Carson, 50, and his co-hosts were sitting on the Today couch when the morning show came back from commercial.
“We have to delay the best time of the morning,” Al Roker said when the show came back.
“Why?” Hoda Kotb asked.
“We do,” Savannah, 52, said, “because we have an item. A pre-POPStart item.”
Carson did not look happy, as he clutched his papers in front of him.
“Alright. Come on. Make it snappy!” he said.
Savannah went on to talk about how Carson went viral for holding Ayo Edebiri’s purse at the Emmy‘s as she won her award.
Carson revealed that he and his wife, Siri Pinter, took a photo with Ayo’s camera at the awards since they couldn’t get into her phone and Ayo sent it to Today.

She sent them a message as well, thanking them for holding her stuff and the selfie, saying they were “bonded for life.”
Carson thanked Ayo, 28, and then moved on to the real POPStart.
IN HER BAG
Emmy watchers were cracking up as Ayo frantically handed Carson her things before walking on stage to accept her Emmy.
Carson sat next to The Bear star as she won for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
When Ayo’s name was announced, she seemed to be completely taken aback and very flustered.
Carson stood up to give her a standing ovation, but as Ayo stood up she realized she was holding her purse and phone in her lap.
She quickly pushed her belongings into The Voice host’s hands before she made her way to the stage.
Carson appeared to be more than happy to keep her possessions safe as she took the stage.
In the video of the moment, he even appeared to say, “I got you,” as the Emmy winner handed off the items.
Ayo was then able to freely hug her costars from The Bear and take the stage for her acceptance speech.
“Okay, I’ve had some strong thoughts about The Bear being nominated in comedy categories but Ayo Edebiri panic handing her phone and purse off to Carson Daly proved exactly why she deserved that win,” one X formerly Twitter, fan wrote.
“Carson Daly still holding Ayo’s purse is so cute,” another said, realizing the host was still holding her belongings 20 minutes after she won.

The day after the Emmy’s, Carson was absent from the morning show, due to being on the west coast.
During the POPStart segment, which Sheinelle Jones led, they talked about the viral moment.
Savannah threw a dig at Carson while he was absent, so he couldn’t defend himself.
During an interview with Ayo after winning, she said that she “hoped Carson Daly still had all her stuff.”
“If my stuff is gone when I get back to my seat, I know that Carson Daly took it.”
Savannah then joked, “She should count her cash,” which made her Today co-stars laugh.
