Two-time Academy Award-nominated actor Timothee Chalamet has seemingly put his acting career on hold as he lives and dies with his beloved New York Knicks during their 2025 postseason run.
In attendance at seemingly every playoff game the New York Knicks have played this season, Timothee Chalamet was in the house for Game 3, which saw the Knicks pull off a series-saving 4th quarter comeback to win the game and deny the Pacers a 3-0 lead, which is a virtual death sentence in the NBA playoffs.
Chalamet’s intensity during the Knicks’ postseason matchups has led to fans jokingly calling him “Coach Chalamet” or “Coach Timothee” on social media. One particularly hilarious viral tweet shows Chalamet going through a broad range of emotions as he cheers on his beloved Knickerbockers.

During Sunday night’s Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals in Indiana on Sunday night, Chalamet was not only once again in attendance but was also dressed as if he were cosplaying as professional bowler Pete Weber (the infamous “Who do you think you are?! I am!” guy).

Another hilarious suggestion was that Chalamet is slowly morphing into Jack Nicholson, another famed actor who seemingly used his acclaimed career to subsidize his affinity for basketball and beautiful women.

Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks will tip off from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis at 8 p.m. EST on Tuesday, May 27. The Pacers are favored by 2.5 points.
