The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sean Dominic (Nate Hastings) recently made it to a big milestone at the CBS soap. To celebrate his fifth anniversary at Y&R, Dominic posted about it on April 10 and offered his gratitude to all the fans out there.
“5 years today since walking onto this iconic set. @YandR_CBS Thank you to all you loyal fans around the globe. Without you there’s no Y&R…” Dominic said on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
Of course, that led to some comments from viewers who have been missing Nate lately. There’s no denying that Nate is one of the show’s most underutilized performers on any given day.
After a fan wrote to Dominic wondering where Nate was at, the actor offered a positive response. Dominic insisted that Nate “should be coming in with a storyline soon!”
That’s great news if it pans out, but it’s worth mentioning that Dominic said “should be” instead of just insisting a new story’s coming up for Nate. It perhaps leaves some wiggle room for things to fall through.
Dominic is barely involved in the drama at Chancellor-Winters, so there’s not much happening there.
Many viewers are holding out hope for a Nate and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) romance, but she’s tangled up with Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) at the moment.
That could change, but Y&R is certainly making fans wait when it comes to giving Nate juicy content.
In fact, that’s caused some viewers to pitch a brand-new soap gig for Sean Dominic.
Now that The Gates is officially moving forward and set for a January 2025 debut, they’re going to need some handsome leading men.
Since The Gates is centered around a well-to-do Black family living in a posh gated community, people have already been suggesting Dominic would be a good fit for the show.
After a fan tagged Dominic on X and urged The Gates to hire him, he replied with a GIF that expressed surprise and seemingly showed that he was intrigued.
Dominic also liked the post that made the suggestion, so that’s an interesting development.
It’s too early to say whether Sean Dominic might leave Genoa City behind in favor of a more substantial role on The Gates, but it’s worth mulling over since Dominic at least reacted to the idea.
