The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) has carved out a memorable spot for himself as the Newman family patriarch and soap royalty. Many of us know and love the great Victor Newman, so fans have naturally been concerned about his health ever since he revealed his cancer diagnosis back in April 2023.
Fortunately, Braeden shared some good news just a few months later. August 2023 brought a positive report since Braeden revealed that he was cancer-free following multiple treatments.
When ET spoke with Eric Braeden in February during an on-set interview, they asked him how he was feeling these days.
Braeden confirmed that he feels “very good” and offered another round of encouraging updates following his medical ordeal.
“My cancer diagnosis right now is on hold, as it were, and [I’m] very grateful for very good doctors and very good modern cancer treatment which has improved enormously,” Braeden said.
Eric Braeden has tried to raise awareness by being honest about his experience and by encouraging fans to take a courageous approach to maintaining their own health.
“So people shouldn’t be afraid of it, you know. It’s just go and have your cystoscopy, have your colonoscopy, have your heart checked out. Do all that. Do it in time,” Braeden insisted.
It’s wonderful to hear that Braeden is doing so well since we want to keep him around for many years to come.
Braeden shows no signs of slowing down and seems to love the role he’s played since 1980.
As for the four-season renewal that the show received not too long ago, Braeden shared how thankful he was since that means fans are still tuning in year after year.
The popular Y&R star expressed his gratitude to all the viewers out there – and we’re all grateful to him too for bringing Victor to life over these decades!
