The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers note that Victor Newman recently faked a condition to test his kids’ loyalties; however, his portrayer, Eric Braeden has been dealing with multiple health issues this past year, in real life. First, the actor underwent knee replacement surgery and then, he dealt with bladder cancer.
Braeden was cancer-free in the fall and updated fans via social media to let them know the good news. This week, he provided an insight into how he’s been feeling as of late, in the most non-Moustache kind of way.
Braeden posted a video of him listening (and grooving to) the song “Missing” by Everything But The Girl, in his car. The caption read, “Feeling better and better!” He also added an “F You, CANCER!”, to the post as well.
Of course, both current and former Y&R co-stars added to the comment section. Ex-Y&Rer Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) notes in the post that he’d “hate” to be behind Braeden at a stoplight, while Eric replied to his comment with laughing-face emojis.
Another former Y&R colleague, Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) wrote, “My brother!” with added emojis, while Judah Mackey (Connor Newman), Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair), and Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman-Abbott) also commented with positive emojis.
Y&R fans also chimed in with uplifting comments celebrating Eric’s continued cancer-free updates. To date, Braeden’s IG reel has received over 20,000 “hearts” and 2,500+ comments.
This isn’t the only “dance-themed” Instagram reel that Eric has posted as of late. He recently captured some dancing between him and his onscreen daughter Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman) dancing to Soul II Soul’s “Back To Life”, celebrating the end of a dialogue scene in early January.
Young and the Restless spoilers say that there might be some troubles up ahead for Victor, as he does all he can to help his wife Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) get back on the road to sobriety.
The Moustache will be busy within the land of Genoa City in 2024, so it’s amazing that Eric is in tip-top health shape to tackle his character’s drama.
