The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that a blast-from-the-past character is about to make a big comeback. J. Eddie Peck is reprising his role as Cole Howard, Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) ex-husband who was last seen in 1999.
Of course, we should point out that Cole was romantically entangled with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) once upon a time as well.
Cole should fit nicely in all the drama happening at the lake house since he’ll be back on-screen before November winds down.
Y&R spoilers say Cole will have an unexpected reunion with Victoria, so he may fall into the same trap that she falls in.
Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) is in the process of luring the Newmans to Oregon, so Cole may somehow get lured there, too.
Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) might handle the Cole situation since Claire will be busy with the Newman clan back in Genoa City.
Whatever the case, J. Eddie Peck is returning as Cole Howard and that could be a huge hint about Claire’s true identity.
Cole and Victoria thought they lost a baby girl back in 1998, but we all know the past can be rewritten on soaps.
Claire could easily turn out to be Eve Nicole Howard, Victoria and Cole’s presumed dead daughter.
Little Eve was named after Cole’s mother, Eve Howard (Margaret Mason), so it’ll be interesting to see how all the puzzle pieces fit together regarding Claire and her real family ties.
Claire previously claimed that her parents perished in a car accident, but she may have been lying.
After all, almost everything else out of Claire’s mouth has been a lie since her assistant job was just a way to set Nikki’s torment in motion.
When Peck last appeared as Cole in 1999, he left for England to become a professor at Oxford following the end of his marriage to Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
It’ll be fun to see Cole back in the action, especially once Claire and Aunt Jordan’s full scheme is revealed.
