The Voice and America's Got Talent are 'battling it out' to rank on top of the network

THE VOICE has reportedly been in a “bitter battle” with their air-time rival America’s Got Talent amid the casting turnover, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

As The Voice welcomed new coaches for Season 25, execs are reportedly hoping the casting shakeup will bump up the ratings, placing it on top.

A source close to The Voice executives told The U.S. Sun they are “fighting it out” with AGT to rank at the top of the network.

Currently, The Voice is up a little while AGT is down.

The insider shared, “These next few months are about bragging rights.”

“The Voice bosses are doing slightly better than AGT in average numbers, and this summer will be a real battle between the pair once AGT gets going,” the insider claimed.

“It’s a healthy competition between them, but everyone on each show wants to be the biggest – except AGT [needs to] up their game this summer,” the source concluded.

Chance the Rapper, Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Dan + Shay are all coaches on Season 25.

Blake Shelton shocked audiences in 2023 when he announced he was leaving the show early in the year – followed by his wife Gwen Stefani announcing her departure in December.

FRESH FACES

In an exclusive on-camera interview with The U.S. Sun at the 11th Makeup Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) Awards in Beverly Hills, California, The Voice staff hairstylists Jerilynn and Darbie addressed the recent show shake-ups.

“Things that contribute to the people coming back to the show… would be the coaches changing,” Jerilynn said.

“I think that the contestants are always new and fresh – new faces.”

The Voice coaches warned they’re ‘replaceable’ after show succeeds despite Blake Shelton and Adam Levine quitting

“Now with Reba back… I wasn’t sure what was going to happen with Blake gone, but I really love her,” she explained referring to Reba McEntire.

“And then having Dan and Shay for the double chair, that’s a really cool new experience.”

“The show is constantly evolving,” Jerilynn confessed.

Addressing Blake and Adam Levine leaving the show, the Hollywood stylist stated, “We kept going. Everyone’s always replaceable.

“I mean, truly, it brings a new fresh feel to the show.”

She hopes the show, which had its premiere in 2011, will run for at least another decade.

“I hope it goes until I retire. We’re on Season 25, and I’ve been there since Season 1,” Jerilynn claimed.

‘ON-CAMERA CHEMISTRY’

The Voice staff member also addressed Blake and his wife Gwen Stefani’s on-camera chemistry when they were both judges on the show.

“People love Blake and Gwen together – I mean, who doesn’t?” Jerilynn confessed.

“First of all, Blake is a tall drink of water, and then Gwen is like a unicorn born,” she gushed.

The hairstylist shared, “She’s so gorgeous and they’re just super cute to watch, and it was really great to see their relationship kind of blossom on the show too.”

Although Gwen has departed The Voice, there may be a chance she may come back.

She has a history of coaching on The Voice over asynchronous seasons.

The former No Doubt singer shared she was leaving this time to focus on new music.
