‘The Vince Staples Show’ Comedy Series Coming to Netflix

The Vince Staples Show, a new scripted comedy series, is set to debut on Netflix.

Announced Tuesday, the series sees Staples partnering with Kenya Barris (Black-ish, Girls Trip). He will also star in the new series, which takes place in Long Beach and is said to be “loosely inspired” by his life.

Staples is also among the series’ executive producers and is joined in that capacity by Calmatic, Ian Edelman, Maurice Williams, Corey Smyth, and Barris. Serving as showrunners for The Vince Staples Show are Ian Edelman and Maurice Williams, both of whom are also on the team for Kid Cudi’s own upcoming Netflix project

“This has been something I have been developing for some time and I am happy it’s coming to fruition,” Staples said, per Deadline.

Vince’s most recent studio album is the widely acclaimed Ramona Park Broke My Heart, which was released back in April and features the singles “Magic” and “Rose Street.” Complex recently named the album one of the best of 2022 (so far). Revisit the full ranking here.
