“Who’d have thought a ring could have so much power?” Wonders Owain Arthur, Durin IV’s actor in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. In season one of The Rings of Power, rings weren’t yet in play. But after its epic finale, we’re in for rings, rings, and more rings, and with that comes a story on a scale not yet seen. A new The Rings of Power season two featurette takes us behind the scenes and lets us catch up with our favorite characters. In it, we learn a little bit more about where Galadriel, Sauron, Elrond, and more are heading in The Rings of Power season two.
Charlie Vickers, Sauron’s actor, welcomes us to Mordor. And teases, “One of the exciting things about this year, is that we’re going to get to see Sauron out in the open, making things happen. We’re going to be able to watch it all unfold.”
Meanwhile, Morfydd Clark notes of Galadriel in The Rings of Power season two, “This season, Galadriel is being drive more by a bigger purpose. And I feel like she’s once again becoming connected with Middle-earth and with all the people in it. That’s making her quest more important since Sauron is building his strength.”
Across the board, the cast and creators of The Rings of Power season two are teasing epic stakes, a bigger world, and more for The Lord of the Rings fans to dive deeply into.
