Emma Corrin shared a unique perception of Princess Diana.

The 26-year-old My Policeman actor brought the late Princess of Wales to life in The Crown. They opened about her in a recent interview.

Emma told The Times that Princess Diana was “so queer” in “many ways.” They added that Princes William and Harry‘s mother had an appreciation for “outsiders” and was sometimes seen as the “other” in the family.

If you weren’t aware, The Crown is getting ready to shoot scenes that detail the late royal’s tragic death for the sixth season. A new report offered some insight into how the show will handle the moment in an effort to be respectful to Princess Diana‘s sons. Netflix will reportedly not show her death on camera.

The Crown has also been accused of trying to “smear” King Charles, and some have called for a boycott of the show.
