Characters on The Bold and The Beautiful have gone through a series of twists and turns throughout the show’s decades-long run.
As of now, spoilers indicate that the newest bombshell to happen on the daytime program will involve a showdown between Xander and his foe Thomas Forrester.
Actor Matthew Atkinson, 36, currently portrays Thomas.
“Xander Avant is back in action, and the latest spoilers suggest that he is all set to get back at Thomas,” TV Season & Spoilers reported Thursday.
“Long-time fans might remember the complicated history that Xander and Thomas share.”
Fans had mixed feelings about Xander coming back for revenge, and expressed their perspectives in a forum on Reddit.
“Well, that’s a random character to bring back to the canvas!,” a fan shared.
“He wasn’t all that riveting the first go around. Who asked for this?! And what connection would he have with Finn?!”

Another added: “I saw that. I was like why is Xander coming back. I still hope this reopens the whole Emma thing.
“I know they pretty much let that go but I NEED it to be brought up.”

The Bold and The Beautiful first premiered in 1987 and has since released over 8,000 episodes.
During that time, many characters have come and gone, but the drama will always continue.

On July 6, 2022, he returned as Jack Finnegan who shows up looking for answers regarding his “late” son.
Throughout the series, Finnegan welcomed an illegitimate child with Sheila Carter.
Naomi Matsuda is a Japanese-American actress who has starred in The Bold and the Beautiful since August 2, 2021.
She plays Jack Finnegan’s estranged wife.
Matthew, of course, returned in the 36th season to portray the prodigal son, Thomas Forrester.
Over the years, the role has been portrayed by Drew Tyler Bell, Adam Gregory, and Pierson Fodé.
Matthew took over the role in 2019.
LEAVING IT ALL
In August 2022, Rena Sofer announced she was leaving the show on Instagram.
In a post of cards and bouquets of flowers, Rena captioned the post: “August 5, 2022 was a very big day for me. More to come…”
One of the cards in the photo read: “Enjoy this next chapter in your life. Love you, you will be missed.”
Rena made her debut as Quinn in 2013. Her last airdate was on August 29, 2022.
