The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Katherine Kelly Lang recently scored an impressive Daytime Emmy nomination for her work as Brooke Logan. The B&B star earned a nom in the category of Outstanding Lead Performance in a Daytime Drama Series: Actress.
Of course, plenty of fans were thrilled to see Lang’s name on the list, but you might be wondering what her Daytime Emmy reel looked like.
Lang shared what episodes she submitted in an interview with SOD, so let’s talk about that exciting news.
“I submitted when Brooke goes to confront Taylor about our supposed friendship because we have been enemies for so long. And then we became friends and I realized that it wasn’t real,” Lang said.
Lang insisted that Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) still wanted to reunite with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) deep down, so she talked about the drama of their rivalry reigniting and clarified that it was “two whole shows of that.”
As for why Lang picked those episodes, she discussed the momentum of the scenes and the story arc that the shows told.
Lang also seemed to like the fun soapiness of it all as she reflected on the end of Brooke’s short-lived friendship with Taylor.
“It was definitely something different, I think, for Brooke to be able to explore that,” Lang said.
The competition is fierce in Lang’s category since she’s going up against some other talented performers, including her TV daughter!
Annika Noelle (Hope Logan) also scored a Daytime Emmy nomination for lead actress, so it’ll be interesting to see how things play out.
Tamara Braun (Ava Vitali, Days of Our Lives), Finola Hughes (Anna Devane, General Hospital), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers, The Young and the Restless) and Cynthia Watros (Nina Corinthos, General Hospital) are also contenders in the lead actress category.
On social media, many soap viewers are already making predictions who which actress they think will come out on top.
No matter who goes home with the actual award, most of us can agree they’re all winners for delivering such amazing performances and delighting fans with their incredible work.
