The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Henry Joseph Samiri will return as Douglas Forrester and reclaim the role from Django Ferri. Ferri took over starting August 11, but you can expect Samiri to slide back in the part of Douglas on October 14.
Samiri had to step away from the CBS soap to work on another project, but SOD confirms he’s headed back to B&B and will rejoin Douglas Forrester’s latest storyline.
There’s certainly plenty of Douglas-centered drama going on now that he’s living full-time at the Forrester mansion.
Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) was initially quite concerned about Douglas being uprooted from his life at the cabin, but he’s adjusted to his new surroundings nicely.
Douglas has been having a blast with his dad under Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) roof, so Hope has changed her tune.
Although Hope misses Douglas, she can see that Douglas adores Thomas and loves hanging out with him more often.
In the October 5 episode, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) even revealed that Hope spends the night at the Forrester mansion with Beth Spencer (River Davidson) sometimes.
Of course, that’s troubling since Liam and Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) are so worried about Thomas using Douglas to pull Hope closer.
Douglas may be used even more as Thomas’ obsession grows – and it indeed seems poised to grow now that Thomas is backsliding into scheming territory.
Thomas may begin pushing for more family time as he works to exclude Liam from the picture entirely.
There’s also the matter of the CPS call setup since Thomas clearly used the voice changer app to frame Brooke.
Once Hope discovers that shocker down the road, there could be a full-blown custody battle that’ll take toll on Douglas and turn his world upside down.
Whatever the case, Douglas has some exciting material coming up, so it’ll be great to see Henry Joseph Samiri back in the role since he was always a fan favorite.
