The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Darin Brooks' Big Comeback – Reprises Role in Blue Mountain State Sequel

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that Darin Brooks (ex-Wyatt Spencer) may be done at the CBS soap, but he’s poised to reprise another familiar role. Brooks played Alex Moran on a comedy series called Blue Mountain State, which started its three-season run back on Spike TV in 2010.

Over the years, Blue Mountain State became a cult classic and eventually had a Kickstarter-funded follow-up film called Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland.

Of course, “Thadland” comes from Alan Ritchson’s character, Kevin “Thad” Castle, who was the captain of the Blue Mountain State football team.

Now negotiations are happening for a new sequel that’s probably going to land at Amazon Prime Video or Netflix according to Deadline’s sources.

It looks like Alan Ritchson and Darin Brooks will reprise their roles along with Chris Romano, who played Sampson “Sammy” Cacciatore in the original series.

Although a firm deal isn’t in place just yet, this sounds like great news for Brooks.

Many fans expressed disappointment when Brooks was written off B&B, but it wasn’t surprising since he hadn’t been given any meaty content in years.

Wyatt pretty much only existed to talk to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), so perhaps it’s good that he has a chance to work on other projects and be part of casts where he’s actually appreciated.

Naturally, it’s possible Wyatt Spencer will come back to LA for a visit someday.

You never know what the future holds on soaps, but B&B obviously doesn’t have much use for Wyatt right now.

Darin Brooks is free to pursue other gigs like this Blue Mountain State sequel, so let’s hope he’s got even more opportunities headed his way.

In the meantime, Liam hasn’t been getting a lot of material either, but that could change if he uses the looming drama in Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) marriage to his advantage.

Bill has also been growing closer to Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) and getting more airtime through his latest love story, so at least the Spencer men haven’t been forgotten entirely!
