The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers reveal that RJ Forrester’s (Joshua Hoffman) return was only the beginning! The show intends to build a new generation that can carry B&B into the future, so let’s talk about what Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell had to say about that in an interview with Michael Fairman.
For starters, Bell pointed out that they have an excellent cast already, but he’s planning to add some other younger performers this summer.
It’s important to keep building the core families and creating connections that tie in with them.
When asked if a new ingenue was coming, Bell confirmed it and hinted about multiple cast additions in the 20-something age bracket.
This is certainly exciting news – at least if the show follows through!
Bell has been known to change his mind after giving interviews and completely alter his plans, but he seems pretty set on this next gen idea for now.
Joshua Hoffman is proving to be a great RJ recast, so that gives us hope that the show can continue to make good casting choices.
Of course, we have to consider which core family RJ’s new love interest might be related to.
RJ is both a Logan and a Forrester, but the door’s still open for him to fall in love with a young Spencer lady.
Maybe a new character with Spencer ties will come to town and hit it off with RJ.
Then again, RJ could always fall for someone connected to the Finnegan family or even Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). A Romeo and Juliet type of love story would be a ton of fun.
Many fans have also been asking to see some of Carter’s relatives, so maybe there could be a lovely young Walton woman in the works for RJ.
Regardless, RJ needs a love interest to capture his heart.
From the sound of things, it looks like the ingenue that’s coming may be linked to another core fam to help with this younger generation push.
