The world of The Simpsons is chock-full of fake media that sparks the imagination. From Stop This Planet of the Apes, I Want To Get Off! to Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge so many fictional pieces of entertainment make us envious of the Springfield denizens who get to enjoy the parodical properties that are usually more enticing than our real-world fare. As such, I can’t help but feel slightly jealous for the fictional characters who hold cards for the Springfield Public Library and the countless tomes of satirical literature it must contain. But, sadly, if I want to get all the necessary information for sane planning and sensible tomorrow, I’ll have to talk to the real Al Gore.
