Terrified Amazon driver goes viral after “impressive” escape from dog

An Amazon delivery driver has gone viral for his hops after running away from a dog who greeted him at the front door. But, it wasn’t exactly a Pitbull.

Delivery drivers and postal workers being scared of dogs is a tale as old as time. It has been used as a TV trope for decades, but it isn’t just the big, scary dogs that make them jump. Smaller breeds like Chihuahuas and Daschunds have also been used for comedic effects.

With the rise of video camera doorbells and increased home security, that trope has been cemented as a real-life thing too. The likes of Amazon and Uber Eats will drop you a message when a driver is nearby, asking you to secure your pets.

There have been plenty of hilarious moments caught on camera. Most commonly, these clips see delivery drivers yelling as they’re approached by pets or just tossing the delivery box in the front yard.

Amazon driver impresses homeowner after leaping fence to avoid dog

Well, there is another going viral at the moment, as one Amazon driver showed off his insane hops to jump over a fence to avoid a dog.

The video, which has been posted by numerous social media accounts, shows a driver entering a front garden with a box in hand. As they get closer to the door, the driver spins the other way and races towards a white picket fence.

He then leaps over the fence, box still under his arm, as a husky-looking dog approaches him. “Nice ups dude!” the homeowner says, complimenting the driver. “That was impressive, I’ve got to say! I saw you on the camera. Wow!”

Naturally, viewers were also impressed by the skills. “It’s not even how high he jumped. It’s more how smooth it was,” one said. “Bro delivering packages on the off-season of the NBA,” another added.

As of writing, the video has amassed over 8.5 million views on one post alone. It has a fair way to go to reach the virality of the Amazon driver who freaked out about the “laziest” customer they’d ever come across.
