Telltale have shared emotive new track ‘Cardinals’, which explores their feelings of touring.
The new single arrives via European label Rude Records and marks the Virginia four-piece’s first release of the year.
Describing the new single and what inspired it, the band have explained:
“Cardinals captures the feeling of being helpless to everything and everyone we love and care about back home while on the road.
“Life doesn’t stop and wait for you to come back, you just miss everything that happens, the good and the bad.
“We sometimes find ourselves wanting to “fly” home during the mental low points of touring so this song encompasses that feeling of being stuck and unattached from your support back home.
“It’s also a nod to Virginia as our state bird is the Cardinal.”

As well as their recent ‘Otherside’ single, which arrived in December, last year also saw a huge year of live shows for Telltale, as they coheadlined a full U.S. tour with label-mates Sundressed and supported The Home Team on select dates of their spring tour, whilst also making an appearance at 2000trees Festival.
