Ted Lasso captured the hearts of countless fans who tuned in to watch it throughout three emotional seasons. Who knew that a show about an American football coach going to coach soccer (a sport he knew nothing about) could cause such feels? The series became a bright spot in these chaotic pandemic years for sure. We bid farewell to the series back in 2023 but it seems there’s a possibly for Ted Lasso season four, if Jason Sudeikis wants to do it.
In an interview with Collider, Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence said he would be down for a season four but it is up to the show’s star, Jason Sudeikis. “Whatever Jason feels like doing and whatever his decision is, we’re all down with it,” Lawrence said. “Not only is he the star, he’s the head writer, and he’s also the dude whose life just has to be completely overhauled and moved to a foreign country with young children.”
The door has always seemed open for another season of Ted Lasso. Warner Bros. and Apple TV+ powers that be have said they are open to it as long as there’s just cause for more story. And, let’s be honest, who doesn’t want a show that brings in money and awards acclaim? Will Ted Lasso get another round? We shall see if Jason Sudeikis wants to do it.
