Jason Sudeikis and Gus Turner in ted lasso season 3

Ted Lasso is coming back for another season, but not every actor will be returning.

The Apple TV+ comedy series was confirmed for a fourth season earlier this week, and Jason Sudeikis confirmed he will be reprising his titular role.

Also set to come back are Brett Goldstein (who played Roy Kent) as a writer and executive producer along with fellow EPs Brendon Hunt (who played Coach Beard), Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee, Bill Wrubel, and Leanne Bowen.

However, we have now learned that one actor, with a recurring role, is set to be recast for the next installment.

The role of Ted’s son Henry is reportedly being recast for season four, according to Deadline. Gus Turner has portrayed the character in 11 episodes throughout the first three seasons.

While the character was a soccer fan in the past, he is now becoming a skilled player himself, which could be the reason for the recasting. It’s unclear if the soccer skills or another reason are behind the recasting. It’s also unclear if Andrea Anders, who played Henry’s mom Michelle Lasso, will be returning or not.

Gus‘ last appearance was in the season three finale, “So Long, Farewell,” where Henry welcomed his dad home after Ted returned home to Kansas.

The new season will also reportedly film the first episode in Kansas before returning to the UK, with a start date in July being eyed.

If you missed it, one Apple TV+ series has been canceled
