Sunshine Cruz, the singer and actress, has been documenting her fitness journey on Instagram, inspiring her followers with her dedication. In August, she shared that she’s four months into her current fitness program, posting a photo with the caption, “About today π@coach.iya! 4 months of consistency, progress is visible na! πͺπ»π.” From weight training to TRX and swimming, Cruz’s routine is all about consistency and balance. Here’s how she maintains her fitness and wellness.
As you can see from her post, Cruz is being consistent when it comes to her fitness. The Mayo Clinic states that this is one of the most important aspects of fitness. “Regular trips to the gym are great, but don’t worry if you can’t find a large chunk of time to exercise every day. Any amount of activity is better than none. To gain the benefits of exercise, just get more active throughout your day. For example, take the stairs instead of the elevator or rev up your household chores. Consistency is key.”
Cruz doesn’t skip leg day. She shared some of her favorite workouts in this Instagram video. In it, Cruz is seen doing standing cable kickbacks, RDLs, and different squats. She captioned the post, “Back to the grind! πͺπ Another 2-hour glute and leg session with @coach.iya. Building those muscles one rep at a time. Patience is key! ππ π”
Cruz likes to use weights to stay in shape. In the previous Instagram post, she used kettlebells and landmines. She also included a photo of herself holding dumbbells in this Instagram post. Cruz captioned it, “‘Fitness isn’t about being better than someone else. It’s being better than you used to be.'”
Cruz enjoys doing TRX workouts to stay in shape. In the first photo of this Instagram post, she is seen using the cables. Nifs states that TRX has a lot of health benefits. “Science proves that it is effective in increasing muscular strength! Here are a few that really stick out: Incorporates nearly every muscle of the human body. If you have ever taken a class or done some of even the most basic exercises, you quickly see that core activation is one of the most important aspects.”
Cruz likes to swim to keep herself in shape. She is seen in a pool in this Instagram post. The Mayo Clinic states that swimming is very beneficial. “Swimming is a wonderful sport. I definitely recommend swimming for people of all ages,” says Dr. Matthew Crowe, a Mayo Clinic orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert. “Swimming is easy on the joints, and it’s very good for both cardiac health and your core strength. And it also can give you really excellent strength around the shoulders, and hips and knees.”
