STREET racer Lizzy Musi has died after being diagnosed with stage-four breast cancer, her father has confirmed.
The Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings star revealed her diagnosis last year which saw her step back from the show.
“Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25 pm tonight,” Musi’s father Pat said in a statement on Facebook.
“Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle, at this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief and make arrangements in peace.
“We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”
Tributes have poured in for the 33-year-old racer who was open about her stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer diagnosis which is one of the most aggressive types of breast cancer.
The cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and liver but Musi remained positive about her condition.
Last month, Musi shared that she had “great news” while receiving cancer treatment in Germany.
The driver did not elaborate but had previously revealed that she would be going to the Medias Klinikum treatment center in Burghausen, Germany.
“I’ve kind of tried everything here [in the U.S.], and I’ve researched the doctor and treatment in Germany that can isolate my liver and treat it,” Lizzy told Drag Illustrated last month.
“This just hurts my heart,” one fan wrote underneath the post shared on Musi’s Facebook page.
“She was such an inspiration to young girls. I loved watching her race.”
“One of the best women racers,” another said.
“Her positive, happy personality was such an inspiration for younger generations. I can’t believe this is true.
“Condolences to her family. Race high in heaven Lizzy.”
Earlier this year, Musi publicly praised her boyfriend Jeffrey Earnhardt, the grandson of legendary NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, for his unwavering support during her cancer battle.
“This guy right here has supported me like no other from sleepless ER nights and dealing with my health to cheering me on at my races,” Musi wrote on Instagram.
“This past weekend I got to watch him do his thing after a long off-season and he just straight killed it. @jearnhardt1 #thankful #oneofakind #howloveissupposetofeel”
The pair started dating in late 2023 following her split with racer Kyle Kelley.
On Instagram, fans have called Earnhardt her “soul mate” and thanked the driver for “loving her the way she deserved” right to the end.
Condolences have been given to Earnhardt who is yet to publicly comment on her death.
At the end of April Earnhardt shared an update on Musi’s return to racing after she competed at Virginia Motorsport Park in her ’69 Camaro called Bonnie.
She and the team were “firing on all cylinders,” her partner said.
