NFL Star Braxton Berrios is taking a moment to address allegations that he cheated on his ex-girlfriend, “The Culpo Sisters” reality star Sophia Culpo, amid his new romance with TikTok star Alix Earle.
Culpo revealed that “betrayal” caused her break-up in April, while Berrios and Earle were spotted spending time together the following month. Now that Earle posted a video that featured a shirtless man in her bed, fans are beginning to believe that there is truth to the rumors that Berrios cheated on Culpo with Earle.
However, Berrios is making sure that he sets the record straight.
NFL Star Braxton Berrios Addresses Rumors He Cheated On Sophia Culpo With TikTok’s Alix Earle
After Earle posted the video of the two together on Sunday, Berrios decided to share his side of the story on Instagram on Tuesday night. In a lengthy Instagram Story, the 27-year-old football wide receiver shared his version of events as to how his relationship with Culpo ended.
“I don’t want to start anything. I don’t want to fuel anything,” he began in the video, which was transcribed by Page Six. “I genuinely want all of this to be over and everybody to move on and do whatever makes them happy.”
“I was in a relationship for two years,” he continued, referring to his relationship with Sophia Culpo. “It was a good relationship, it was a healthy one. And towards the end of it, we had conversations along the lines of we just weren’t working out. So when we split back in January, that’s why.”
Berrios claimed that the pair went their separate ways earlier this year due their own decision, adding that it “had nothing to do with anybody else” and stating that it “just didn’t work out and that’s okay.”
“It’s been very weird and sad to see kind of what’s gone on since then,” he said in the video. “I’ve been quiet because it’s totally out of character for me to talk about my private life, publicly. But I feel like it needed to be touched on now.”
Sophia Culpo Says Their Relationship Did Not End Well
In April, the 26-year-old TikTok star addressed her break-up when a fan asked her about it during an Instagram Question and Answer session. “I wasn’t able to talk about this when it first happened,” Sophia said in the video (via TooFab). “I still don’t really have words. I’m not really one to air out a bunch of dirty details.” She revealed that the relationship “didn’t end well” because “a lot of trust was broken.”
“I haven’t addressed this because it’s been really hard to come to terms with and process. I’ll say that it didn’t end well or honestly,” she continued. “A lot of trust was broken. But I have an amazing support system and I appreciate everyone’s love & support so, so much. This community never fails to amaze me.”
“I have the most amazing family and friends and I’m really grateful that I’m even able to pick myself up and move myself to a new place on my own,” she continued. “So, there are a lot of things that I am grateful for… I don’t wish what I went through on my anybody. I really, really don’t and I’m trying my best to just take the high road here.”
“I appreciate everyone’s love and support, I really do. It means a lot to me,” she added. “Us girls’ girls gotta stick together and one day I will share all the lessons that I’ve learned.”

On Sunday, Alix Earle shared a TikTok that featured her on vacation in the Hamptons, which included a Calvin Harris concert and a lot of food. However, at the beginning of the video, she also embraces a shirtless man that is sitting on her bed. Although his face is not clearly shown in the video, fans have identified him as Berrios.
However, it seems that the two are not dating just yet. When one fan commented, “HARD LAUNCH. HARD LAUNCH.” Alix replied, “We’re not even ‘dating’ but just hard for me to not share stuff w u guys, hahahaha.”
Shortly after Alix posted the video, Sophia took to her TikTok Stories to say that, although friends kept checking in on her, she is “good.”
“I’m sorry the internet has their panties in a wad. It wasn’t that deep,” she said in the video, which has since been deleted. “It really wasn’t that deep. I’m literally getting texts from my friends like, ‘I’m thinking of you, are you doing okay?’ I’m good. I’m good. The internet is wild, but we’re good.”
She also shared a video with the caption “Give it a few but call me when the love bombing ends. I gotchu #girltok #narcredflag,” but that video was also deleted.
