Snoop Dogg Tapped as Correspondent for NBC's Coverage of 2024 Summer Olympics

Snoop Dogg will be bringing his talents to Paris this summer, joining NBC as a Special Correspondent for its coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The move was announced on NBC and Peacock during halftime of Sunday Night Football, with a “Snoop Year’s Eve” promo featuring Snoop Dogg alongside Team USA athletes Suni Lee, A’ja Wilson, Jagger Eaton, Kelly Cheng, and Sara Hughes.

Beginning on July 26th, 2024, Snoop Dogg will join NBC Olympics host Mike Tirico to add his own special commentary on daily events. “He’ll explore the city’s iconic landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events, and visit with the athletes, their friends and families,” NBC stated in a press release, via People.

In his own statement, Snoop Dogg promised to bring his own “Snoop style to the mix” in the city of love. “I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness,” he said. “Let’s elevate, celebrate and make these games unforgettable, smoke the competition, and may the best shine like gold.”

Snoop previously served as a commentator for Peacock during the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. “That performance alone has earned Snoop a job as our Special Correspondent in Paris,” NBC Olympics Production executive producer and president Molly Solomon stated in a press release. “We don’t know what the heck is going to happen every day, but we know he will add his unique perspective to our re-imagined Olympic primetime show.”
