In the online post, Poor Things actor Ramy Youssef landed the hosting gig, while the Trance rapper will serve as the musical guest.

The installment featuring Ramy and Travis is scheduled for March 30th

Kylie‘s baby daddy jumped to the comments section and seemed excited about his upcoming performance.

“Let’s make this the best one yet,” Travis wrote.

However, critics slammed the NBC program for allowing the rap star to perform onstage.

“Why are we still giving Travis Scott a platform?” one ranted.

“Travis? The guy whose concert killed people?” another blasted.

“Nah, bro. No one’s dying to see you on SNL,” a third trolled, as another added, “Can we all not watch this episode because of Travis Scott? Don’t watch him!”

Travis’ upcoming SNL performance takes place about two years after the tragic mass casualty incident that happened at his Astroworld Festival.

In November 2021, 10 people died, and hundreds were injured, following a crush at the opening night of the Astroworld Festival, where a crowd of 50,000 attendees had shown up.

The crowd reportedly surged towards the stage while Travis performed at the third annual event at NRG Park, also known as Reliant Park and Astrodomain, in Houston, Texas.

Officials in Texas mentioned that the crowd began to “compress towards the front of the stage” at around 9 pm and sparked panic.

They transported 17 people to hospitals, and 11 of them had cardiac arrest.

In a message released on X, formerly known as Twitter, Travis expressed he was devastated by what took place at his festival.

He assured fans that he is “praying for the families and everyone impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival”.

In June 2023, the attorney representing the star went to the grand jury, which had to decide whether or not Travis should face charges.

According to Reuters, Travis’ attorney told the grand jury that his client should not face charges for what took place at Astroworld in 2021.

The grand jury decided not to file criminal charges against him.

“Nothing Travis did or failed to do fits within the Texas criminal code.”

After spending the holidays in separate places, Travis and Kylie split in January 2023.

The former couple share their two children: six-year-old daughter, Stormi, and son Aire, two.
