With 2023 seeing the London-based duo dominate stages at Glastonbury and The Great Escape, they’re kickstarting their 2024 with another chaotic fast-paced banger.

Speaking on the lyrical content of ‘Uncle Fred’, the band have shared:

“Can you imagine if there was a priest (maybe… named Fred) that was so in love with Jesus that he thought he might be sexually attracted to him?

“Can you imagine the inner turmoil and mental chaos that would most likely cause? It could happen… it probably has.”

Take a listen to the brilliantly brash new track below.

To celebrate the song’s release, Shelf Lives have also shared news of a headline show in London this October.

The duo will unleash their electric live show at the iconic Moth Club on October 23, with tickets on sale April 23.
