NFL RedZone host Scott Hanson, he’s really just like the rest of us — he loves football and Dua Lipa.
During the Week 2 edition of the beloved NFL highlight channel, the longtime RedZone host caught a glimpse of a game on CBS airing a clip for its upcoming interview with pop star Dua Lipa on 60 Minutes later that night.
After seeing the Grammy-winning Future Nostalgia singer flash across the screen, Hanson replied by essentially saying, “Woah, woah! Not so fast! Bring Dua Lipa back!”
“And a TV timeout there [in the Kansas City vs. Cincinnati game] you’re not missing anything. We’ll come right back to the score– you could stay with Dua Lipa for a second if you want. No one’s going to complain about that. Apparently that’s on 60 Minutes tonight. We’ll see you them, Dua,” Hanson said.
Lipa was on 60 Minutes to speak with Anderson Cooper ahead of the start of her upcoming Radical Optimism tour, which will be the third headlining tour of her career following The Self-Titled Tour in 2017 and 2018, and the Future Nostalgia tour in 2022 (the Future Nostalgia album was released two years prior in 2020 but a tour was delayed due to the pandemic). The Radical Optimism tour will kick off in Australia next March and run through the summer of 2025 before concluding in Seattle, Washington, in October.
Lipa, who turned 29 years old this summer, has also recently begun to break into acting as the last year or so has seen her make her feature film debut in Barbie and feature in the Matthew Vaughn action thriller comedy Argylle, only enhancing her status as one of the most popular women in the world right now.
