“I hate the taste of water,” Chloe once confessed to People in her The Beautiful Issue interview. “If I could just live on cold brew, I would.” Her job makes coffee an essential. “I am an early girl, and so it’s really a challenge,” she said of staying up late for work. “I found out I was born at 6:45 in the morning, and maybe I’m making this up, but I get up at that time no matter what, even if I’ve been up really late. It’s definitely a challenge to be on this SNL schedule, hence my cold brew addiction.” According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several benefits of drinking coffee in moderation. “It acts on your brain to improve memory, mood, reaction times, and mental function,” they say, citing a study finding that caffeine can improve endurance and performance during exercise. It is also antioxidant-rich, can ward off diabetes, prevent neurologic disease, lower cancer risk, and ward off depression, they point out.

Chloe has a favorite form of exercise. “When I’m not at work, there’s Pilates,” she added to People. Why is pilates a good workout? According to the Mayo Clinic there are lots of benefits to the workout, as it “strengthens the body’s inner core while increasing its flexibility resulting in improved overall health. It can also promote longer, leaner muscles, injury prevention, relief from stress and back pain, enhanced athletic performance, and heightened mind-body awareness.

Another activity of Chloe’s when she is not at work is “a dog walk,” she told People. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.

During her trip to Hawaii Chloe went snorkeling with the sea turtles. Surprisingly, putting on a snorkel and fins and swimming through the water is a great workout. In addition to being a great aerobic exercise and burning calories, other health benefits may include improved cardiovascular function, stress reduction, mood enhancement, and muscular toning.

Choe stays away from dairy. She told New York Magazine that she loves Zabar’s in New York City. “My order is a Dr. Brown’s diet cream soda. I’m unhealthy — I like diet soda. And I’ll get their lox bagel but then usually confuse the man making the bagel ’cause I’m lactose intolerant and I ask for it without cream cheese. And then he is like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ And just having that exchange makes the bagel taste better.”
