Matthew is preparing to act alongside their 22-year-old son James Wilkie Broderick in his first major acting role.
Just days before the news was announced, SJP and Matthew were on the red carpet together at the 2024 Torino Film Festival on Saturday (November 23) in Turin, Italy.
On Monday (November 25), it was announced that both Matthew and James Wilkie will guest star in an upcoming episode of the CBS procedural series Elsbeth. The episode will be “set in the power and money-driven world of college admission consulting,” according to Deadline.

Matthew will play “Lawrence Grey. When Manhattan’s elite want to make sure their offspring get into the prep school and then college of their choice, Lawrence Grey is the man to call no matter their grades, test scores or personality. Grey’s expertise and connections make him rich and powerful, but when someone threatens his perch, he is driven to murder.”
James Wilkie is playing “Carl, a top ‘success trainer’ at Lawrence Grey’s company, Outmatch Educational Consulting, who is helping the offspring of Manhattan’s super-rich make it into the Ivy League.”
This is James Wilkie‘s first major acting role, though he was featured in a small part of the Apple TV+ series Lady in the Lake.
