The Screen Actors Guild Awards have had some crazy and memorable moments over the years.
The glamorous event showcases the best films, TV shows, and stunts over the past year and is voted on by members of the Screen Actors Guild.
This year, the biggest nominees include Oppenheimer, Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon, Succession, The Crown, and The Bear.
This year, the awards show will be streamed live on February 24 on Netflix.
From big reunions to honest speeches, take a look at the five craziest moments that happened at the SAG Awards.
THE BIG REUNION
In January 2020, the reunion of former couple Brad Pitt, 60, and Jennifer Aniston, 55, had the internet in stitches.
The two were married for five years, tying the knot two years after they met in 1998.
Brad took home one of the top awards of the night, Male Actor in a Supporting Role for Once Upon A Time… In Hollywood.
During his speech, Jen was spotted smiling along with her ex-husband’s jokes, even when he referenced his wife’s troubles.
“This role was a bit of a stretch. Guy who gets high, takes his shirt off, doesn’t get along with his wife,” the Hollywood actor said.
That is when the camera panned to Jen, who had a big smile on her face.
Later on, Brad was spotted standing backstage and looking on as Jennifer won her first SAG Award in over 20 years.
A reporter from ET Canada captured the actor watching from a screen backstage and saying, “Oh wow” as she walked to the podium.
In other snaps, the two were spotted smiling, hugging, and even holding hands.
‘WE CAN DO THIS’
In 2018, Nicole Kidman, 56, won the SAG Award for Best Female Actor in a Miniseries or TV Movie in HBO‘s Big Little Lies.
During her speech, she discussed her career and working with co-stars Laura Dern, 57, and Reese Witherspoon, 47, who were also nominated in the category.
She also spoke highly of Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange and how women their age have continued to win awards as she said, “Thank you all for your trailblazing performances you’ve given over your career and how wonderful it is that our careers today can go beyond 40 years old.”
As the crowd cheered, the actress continued, “20 years ago, we were pretty washed up by this stage in our lives so that’s not the case now. We’ve proven these actresses and so many more are proving that we are potent and powerful and viable.
“I just beg that the industry stays behind us because our stories are being told, it’s only the beginning, and I’m so proud to be a part of a community that is instigating this change.
“We have proven that we can do this, and we can continue to do this, but only with support of this industry and that money and passion.”
STRANGER FACES
In 2017, the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things, took home Best Ensemble in a Drama Series.
The entire cast – including Finn Wolfhard, 21; David Harbour, 48; and Millie Bobby Brown, 20 – went onstage to accept the big award.
However, many eyes were on Winona Ryder‘s, 52, reaction to winning.
The Beetlejuice actor was in complete shock and didn’t want to hold the award.
She hinted to the presenter to give it to David, who took the place behind the microphone.
During his speech, Winona made quirky reactions to everything her co-star was saying – as if she wanted to say something or didn’t know how to react to the statements.
After the scene went viral on the internet, it turned into a popular meme.
FINALLY!
Leonardo DiCaprio, 49, finally took home several awards in 2016 – including a SAG – for his role in The Revenant.
While onstage accepting his award, he received a standing ovation from the crowd.
That night, he also reunited with his former Titanic and Revolutionary Road co-star, Kate Winslet, 48.
The two stars posed for pictures while Leo looked dapper in a black tux and Kate stunning in an emerald floor-length gown.
That year, he went on to win his very first Oscar for the drama film.
‘YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE’
In 2010, the late legendary actress, Betty White, received the SAG Lifetime Achievement Award from Sandra Bullock, 59.
Other actors to receive this high honor include Dick Van Dyke, 98; James Earl Jones, 93; and Julie Andrews, 88.
During her speech, the Golden Girls star made jokes and discussed her career, but there was one statement she made that stuck out.
“I am still, to this day, starstruck. I look out at this audience and I see so many famous faces. But what really boggles by mind is that I actually know many of you and I’ve worked with quite a few. Maybe had a couple. You know who you are,” she said jokingly.
