Richard Lewis Thanks ‘Curb’ Crew On Last Day Of Filming (Video)

Just weeks before the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, series regular and beloved comedian Richard Lewis passed away at the age of 76 years old due to a heart attack.

While Lewis’ passing was obviously a gut punch for both fans and those who personally knew and loved him, there was an element of solace in knowing that he would still pop up in the final few episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm, which wrapped up its 12th and final season on Sunday, April 8.

Lewis, like many Curb stars from both past and present, appeared in the series finale, however, it wasn’t what he did during the episode, but rather, what he said after filming was completed that seems to be resonating most with fans.

In a behind-the-scenes clip that’s been going viral on social media, Lewis — virtually as soon as filming on the series officially wrapped — stood up to thank both David and the Curb crew for the “greatest experience” of his career and for “being so sweet” to him.

“Can I say something?” Lewis says as he rises out of his seat. “Larry David has treated me like a god, and all of you have.”

“And this has been the greatest experience of my career and I love each and every one of you. I’m honored to be working with arguably the greatest sitcom writer in the last two centuries. And god bless all of you. Thanks for being so sweet to me.”
