Lindsay confirmed that season one’s antagonist Chip (Carson Rowland) got the ending he deserved. “Chip is an irredeemable character,” she told the outlet. “Chip found a fitting end in our show.”
Chip found himself being targeted by “A,” who was revealed to be Angela Water’s twin brother Archie, and had previously sexually assaulted best friends Imogen (Bailee Madison) and Tabby (Chandler Kinney).
Roberto also discussed how the team was feeling about the show getting a second season, joking: “We went to a fortune teller over the weekend and the fortune teller told us things were looking good.”
He went on to say that fan engagement had “been growing as more and more episodes have dropped,” so while there was “no official word” from HBO Max yet the team was “feeling good in this moment.”
“It’s obviously the fans that made the original PLL a pop culture juggernaut,” he noted. “It’s been so incredible to see how the fans have embraced the show.”
Earlier this month, it was mistakenly announced that the series had been cancelled due to an error in one of the episodes. Find out more here.
