A few weeks later, Digital Foundry said it had gained confirmation of the console’s existence via Sony’s devnet portal.

This is a portal that Sony uses to share new information with developers, suggesting that the PlayStation 5 Pro could already be in the hands of some developers.

Digital Foundry claims the findings of YouTuber Moore’s Law is Dead were mostly correct, but it is Sony’s own action that people believe best shows the console’s existence.

Sony has copyright striked the YouTube video, which Moore’s Law is Dead claims contains confidential documents from the company.

The copyright strike means that the video is no longer available as it includes something that Sony owns the rights to.

Having watched the entire video before it was taken down, it seems that the only reason Sony could have struck the video is if the documents are real.

Despite this, the PS5 Pro has not been officially announced, though it seems that Sony will be preparing for an announcement following this action.

It is likely that the findings from Digital Foundry are what forced Sony’s hands in this situation, though it could be that the report allowed Sony to find the video.

The video stated that Sony was looking to put the PS5 Pro on sale for this year’s holiday season, which would likely place the announcement around the mid-year.

However, now that the video has been removed by Sony it is likely that the announcement will be pushed forward.
