Photos of Twitter CEO Elon Musk apparently training for a hypothetical fight against Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have hit the internet.

A few weeks ago, Musk said on Twitter that he would be up for a “cage match” with Zuckerberg, which then led to the 39-year-old Facebook creator telling him to “send me location.”

Since then, while Zuckerberg hasn’t said anything else about it, Elon has been fielding various offers on Twitter to help train for the bout (which will never happen) and apparently accepted one from Lex Fridman, a computer scientist at MIT that’s also trained with Zuckerberg in the past.

While Elon might have decided to hit the mat with Fridman for a couple of hours, that doesn’t mean we’re any closer to a fight between the two, as neither of their egos would allow them to lose.

Elon, however, does find himself in a more difficult position than Zuckerberg, though, as he’s the one who initiated the spat and now, as a result, finds himself in a “no-win situation,” according to his own father Errol Musk.

Prior to training with Fridman, Musk also accepted an offer from UFC legend Georges St-Pierre — who is apparently a “huge fan” of Musk — to be his training partner.

Currently, most sportsbooks have Zuckerberg — who is both shorter and skinnier than Musk — as the favorite in the potential duel, as his betting odds are currently hovering in the neighborhood of -150.

The reason that Zuckerberg is the prohibitive betting favorite is that he’s spent the last few years training in martial arts such as jiu-jitsu and has even competed in/won tournaments.

Regardless of whether or not this fight happens, it’s difficult not to find yourself ultimately depressed about the fact that this is how two of our world’s allegedly greatest minds are behaving. Go fix world hunger or something!
