PhillyD reveals major fitness update after four years of progress

PhillyD Fitness Journey

News YouTuber PhillyD has given fans yet another update on his fitness journey, four years into working towards a healthier life.

With 6.6M subscribers and nearly two decades of videos, Philip DeFranco is one of the most popular and long-standing news YouTubers on the platform.

He began working towards a healthier lifestyle in what he calls his “midlife crisis” back in 2021, and has given fans quarterly updates on his progress ever since. With that, he’s working towards goals like running long distances and, of course, lifting heavier weights.

On Wednesday, April 30, PhillyD posted his quarterly update and revealed his progress towards running a half-marathon.

In the pictures, you can see DeFranco has lost a significant amount of weight and has continued to work on building his muscles over the years.

“Midlife crisis still going well. (1st photo is from 2021/2022),” He said in the post. “I’m lifting 2-3x as much as 8 months ago since getting a Tonal. Can almost run a half marathon, but I’m still suffering from tiredlilbitchitis, which kicks in at around 7-8 miles in.”

The Tonal machine that Phil mentioned in the post is advertised as the “world’s smartest home gym” and features a wide variety of workouts.

His post quickly garnered the attention of fans, including MrBeast, who shared his latest fitness update earlier in April.

“Love it,” Donaldson said, to which DeFranco jokingly replied: “Training for my villain arc on Beast Games Season 2 obviously. Gotta stop people from entering my tax bracket.”

Another asked about his diet, prompting PhillyD to give some insight about what he’s been eating.

“Mainly same sh*t with slight variations. I make a big ass veggie omelette in the morning. Big Greek yogurt protein bowl with granola and an obscene amount of raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. Salad with chicken. Protein shake. Whatever Linz makes for dinner,” he said.
