Tomorrow, March 15, Sirius XM’s Grateful Dead station will broadcast Phil Lesh & Friends’ sold-out concert at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. The performance arrives after the frontman’s initial birthday shows, which began last week as a pair of deliveries with The “Q.”
Last night, Lesh’s Capitol Theatre concerts with his Friends lineup began. Night one of three featured an already-announced musical lineup comprised of collaborators such as Eric Krasno, Jason Crosby, Amy Helm, Karl Denson, Grahame Lesh, and John Molo. Currently, the artist lineup for night two, March 14, and three, March 15, will remain under wraps until the musicians take the stage.
During Wednesday’s stand, Lesh led the aforementioned talent through favored picks from the Grateful Dead canon. Lesh ended the show with a bust out of “Attics of My Life,” which served as a contemplative send-off as the artist inches toward his 84th birthday.
Tune into Sirius XM’s Grateful Dead Channel 23 on Friday, and don’t miss Lesh’s sold-out birthday celebration featuring an unnamed lineup.
